My Most Challenging Reading Assignment In High School

The assignments that I found challenging throughout High School were all my reading assignments. I never really had a passion for picking up a book. The bigger the book the more challenging I thought, because to me that meant I would be spending that much more time on the assignments for homework. I found it especially hard to read texts that were older than Lord Of The Flies for example. It was a pretty dense book for me. Also anything With Shakespeare because I have a hard time just coming up with what someone else is trying to say. I did however enjoy Of Mice and Men because it was an easy read and gave me a chance to learn reading strategies like previewing the chapters prior or re-writing paragraphs in my own words to help me better understand the reading.
